On October 9, 2009, Life Member, Brother Samel B. Knight was appointed by  the 31st Grand Polemarch, Dwayne M. Murray, Esquire, as the 22nd Western Province Polemarch, and reappointed by the 32nd Grand Polemarch William “Randy” Bates, Jr., Esquire in 2011 and 2013. Brother Knight served over four years as the 22nd Western Province Polemarch. Brother Knight has served as the Sr. Vice Polemarch of the Western Province, Past Polemarch of the San Diego Alumni Chapter, Brother Knight has also held many Province and local San Diego Officers and  Committee Chairman positions.
