Kappa Fact: The Black and White Ball. This formal BLACK TIE event is held each Fall and serves as the premier San Diego social event for our chapter. The Black and White Ball is an invitation only rendezvous of Kappa Brothers along with our Silhouettes, Sweethearts, closest friends and generous supporters of the Kappa Alpha Psi mission.
San Diego Alumni Chapter Events
Every year the San Diego Alumni Chapter hosts our Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament. Last year, we completed our 34th Annual Golf Tournament that featured brothers from the San Diego area as well as all over the Western Province! Since its inception, all proceeds from the Golf Tournament have gone to support the SDAC Scholarship Fund to reward graduating High School Seniors with financial assistance to help them achieve their higher education goals of attending the College of their choice.
The Annual Golf Tournament was renamed to its present title in memory of San Diego Chapter members: LtCol Clancy Davis USMC (Ret.) and Bobby L. Hatcher. The yearly golf tournament ensures that their legacies for the love of golf, and giving back to the community will never be forgotten. The San Diego Alumni Chapter is proud to have consecutively held thirty-four Golf Tournaments in their memory. This year will be no different as we plan and look forward to welcoming and hosting our 35th Annual LtCol Clancy Davis, USMC (Ret) and Bobby L. Hatcher Golf Tournament for 2024.
Kappa Fact: FOUNDER'S DAY: A Brothers Only event, this National Fraternity and San Diego Alumni Chapter social tradation celebrates the fraternity's founding on January 5, 1911. This black tie event is hosted by the San Diego Alumni chapter and includes a formal sit down dinner and speaker. Updates will follow.
